72 HOLES STROKE PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP

BELLINGHAM GOLF CLUB, May 19th and 20th , 2012.
Winner: President’s Bowl, Medal, and Prize Value £150.
2nd Prize Value £100. 3rd Value £70. 4th Value £50. 5th Value £30
The Leader after 36 Holes will win the John Henderson Salver.
Ties will be decided under Rule 4d.
36 Holes will be played on May 19th and the leading 24 returns and those tying for 24th place will play a further 36 Holes on May 20th . In the event of a tie the Joint Winners shall play extra holes these being the 1st,2nd,and 3rd, the player having the lowest aggregate score over the extra holes being the winner. If there is still a tie the same extra holes will be played hole by hole until a decision is reached. Only players with active handicaps may win prizes.
All entries including fee must be in the hands of the Secretary of the NUGC not later than Saturday, May 5th. No entry fee will be refunded once the draw has been published. Competitors will by courtesy of Bellingham GC be allowed one free practise round. Entrance fee £15 per player. Make cheques payable to NUGC.
Entries restricted to a handicap limit of 5. A large entry will result in the balloting out of the highest handicaps. No sit on buggies permitted unless a medical certificate is produced saying the player is incapable of walking 36 holes, and that they are permitted by the host Club. Distance measuring devices may be used under Rule 14-3.
Competitors will not be allowed to play in Jeans, Tee Shirts, Shorts, or Trainer Shoes, and the Club House dress rules will apply.

Any player entering from a handicap which is not their exact one will be assumed to be the point nearest to one stroke more. Eg. 3 = 3.4 If you are 3 exact state 3.0
Note:- All competitors must be a member of an affiliated Club in the County or must have been born in Northumberland.
I hereby certify that the competitors named above are amateur golfers as defined by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, that their handicaps have been verified before the submission of the entries and that they have the necessary County qualifications.
