The NUGC, as the men’s amateur golf governing body in Northumberland, focuses on administering county championships, team competitions, and coaching programs. Affiliated with England Golf, the NUGC manages course measurements and slope ratings for its member clubs and serves as the local authority on the R&A Rules of Golf and Handicapping.

NUGC v Lothians Golf Association – 19 April 2026 – Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Club
A lovely day on the links at Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Course, where we entertained Lothians Golf Association in our annual curtain raiser to the season. Seniors Texas Scramble- The Northumberland GC – 6 October 2025
Today was our last event of 2025, played in warm conditions with a stiff breeze in the morning, which died down in the afternoon. The course is in excellent condition, the greens especially and all the competitors were very complimentary. We had 23 teams and some really good scoring. The

A huge congratulations to Sandy Twynholm who has become the England Golf Seniors Champion of Champions at Woodhall Spa Golf where he came out on top by 2 strokes. This is a fantastic achievement by Sandy, who continues to play excellent golf, picking up more significant titles along the way. Well done
Seniors Big 6 – Wilmslow Golf Club – 9 September 2025
